Multitude of team-oriented production jobs with fair pay
Cartoner Operator (Former Employee) - Jonesboro, AR - 30 January 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedOverall, was not a bad place to work. Work/family life balance suffered due to odd shift start times. Also, shift rotation schedule was changed often.
Pros
Variety of machine operator roles, opportunities to be involved with LEAN improvement projects
Cons
Short breaks with long walks to breakroom and back, inconsistency with shift scheduling

Bad morale
Uht operator (Current Employee) - Anderson, IN - 6 December 2022
The company actions don’t show that they care about their employees. Understaffed and people to do more than 1 job with little to no appreciation and certainly not any compensation

Worst place to work
Operator (Former Employee) - 7301 District Blv - 16 June 2022
Worst place I have ever worked. Company doesn’t care about there employees. If your a hard worker they will take advantage of you and expect more from you. 95% of there employees are unhappy. I wouldn’t buy there products after me seeing everything that happens there. This place was a great place to work long time ago.

Good money everything else sucks.
Operator (Former Employee) - Anderson, IN 46013 - 2 May 2022
Money isn’t enough to put up with management,Getting injured means getting fired. No mistake, you will be watched constantly. The only time you will be recognized is when you make a mistake.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Insurance stinks and is ridiculously expensive, Management is for the most part hard to reason with, Constantly being watched.

I loved my job as a freezer operator.
Freezer Operator (Former Employee) - Jonesboro, AR - 9 January 2022
Loved my job at the Jonesboro, AR plant. I would go back in a second. Management were constantly changing roles but that happens at all factories. Job was easy.
Pros
lots of breaks
Cons
short breaks due to the walk to the breakroom or locker room, or restroom

All smoke and mirrors at Nestle.
Operator (Former Employee) - Anderson, IN - 29 November 2021
Terrible place to work, management is non existent unless they want to harass you. Working hard is a bad trait at Nestle, they cater to the lazy people.
Pros
None to speak of
Cons
Absolutely worst work culture I’ve ever seen.

Long hours
Pkg operator (Former Employee) - Anderson, IN - 30 June 2021
It’s a great company the only downfall was the long 12 hour shifts. If it wasn’t for that I’d still be there today. Hr is very friendly and easy to communicate with even on off shifts.
Pros
Treat you well
Cons
12 hour shifts

Geesh
Flex Operator (Former Employee) - Jonesboro, AR - 25 May 2021
Nestle would be a great company to work for if the culture changed. HR/Management at their discretion, can come up with insane policies without the collaboration of employees that do not benefit their associates. HR is horrible. They often act as if you are an inconvenience, their attitudes are horrible. They lack professionalism. The turn over rate is high (pre COVID) because the culture is HORRIBLE. Expectations aren't clear! From management to the production floor, the plant in Jonesboro, AR needs to change. The most enjoyable parts were the benefits and some of the associates. Some people were personally and professionally amazing.
Pros
benefits
Cons
short breaks, the way they talk to you, culture, pay vs. culture, their inability to accommodate global change professionally, they allow ppl to express their prejudices

Great pay and benefits, but you will work, a lot.
Spray Dryer Operator (Former Employee) - Eau Claire, WI - 10 April 2021
I worked here 6 years. Pay was the best in the area, but lots of OT, constant schedule changes, etc. Had to work a year before any vacation, but might be different now? But, lots of pluses. Great pay and benefits, tuition reimbursement, take your pick. It is all about choices.
Pros
Great pay.
Cons
Work life balance can suffer

If you’re just looking for work
Operator (Current Employee) - Burlington, WI - 1 February 2021
Great place just if you’re looking to make good money. No advancements, horrible schedule, horrible scheduling ( if somebody calls off an hour before your shift is over lowest seniority HAS TO STAY, and they give you like 1 hour notice before shift is over) sorry if you had things todo after work. DO NOT WORK HERE UNLESS YOURE GOING TO START AFTER FEBRUARY 2022! Layoff coming, this is a union job, so you’re the ones who’s first out that door. PLUS they won’t tell you til your orientation. Oh and new lower pay for new employees starting in feb 22’ as well :) you have been warned!!
Pros
Benefits, pay
Cons
The workers with most seniority do whatever they want, scheduling sucks

Work Everyday
Filler Operator (Former Employee) - Eau Claire, WI - 12 August 2020
Union. When you start you work 12 hour days 12 days in a row with one day off. Very hot. Where I worked the break room was a 5 min walk away so the 15 min break you get turns into a 5
Pros
pay
Cons
no home life

No work life balance
OPERATOR (Former Employee) - Freehold, NJ - 17 February 2020
No work life balance. Constantly changing your schedule with no care for your families needs. Hostile work environment. Safety person is a joke. Lots of money to be made but because you have no choice to be there 7 days on 2 off 12 hrs.

Not a good place to work
Oven operator (Current Employee) - Springville, UT - 15 October 2019
Impossible to advance unless you know someone or are related to management. The HR department is like a high school popularity contest. They are never wrong and if they make a mistake it's your fault not theirs.
Pros
401k medical vision dental
Cons
Pretty much everything else
