Full job description

Responsible for ensuring and supervising quality, coordinating inspections, managing quality documentation at the project site and ensuring that all construction, fabrication, installation and commissioning work meets the quality standards set by project specifications, industry regulations, and international codes & standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, etc.

Responsibilities :

1. Supervision and Implementation of Quality Management System
  • Ensure all project activities in the field are in accordance with the Quality Plan, Inspection Test Plan (ITP), and applicable technical specifications.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and work methods meet the specified standards.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on materials, welding, pipes, electrical equipment, and mechanics according to Oil & Gas industry standards.
2. Coordination of Inspection and Testing
  • Arrange and coordinate with Third Party Inspection (TPI), vendors, Contractor, and engineering teams for inspections and testing.
  • Ensure the implementation of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as Radiographic Test (RT), Ultrasonic Test (UT), Magnetic Particle Test (MT), and Dye Penetrant Test (PT) according to project specifications.
  • Coordinate with the commissioning team in the pre-commissioning and commissioning stages to ensure the system functions according to design.
3. QA/QC Documentation and Reports
  • Review and maintain Quality Records, Material Test Reports (MTR), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), and other certifications.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and ensure corrective actions are carried out according to procedures.
  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to quality and provide recommendations for improvement if necessary.
4. Audit and Compliance with Industry Standards
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, API, ASME, and local regulations such as MIGAS (Indonesia).
  • Coordinate with the HSE team to ensure safety and environmental aspects are always considered in the QA/QC process.
5. Continuous Improvement and Training
  • Identify potential improvements in the project quality system and propose solutions for quality improvement.
  • Provide training to workers and Contractor regarding best practices in QA/QC and compliance with applicable standards.


Experience : At least ten (10) years experience as QA/QC Coordinator in Oil and Gas Projects.

Qualifications :
  • Min. bachelor's degree (S1) in Engineering.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skill.
  • Certified Welding Inspector to a recognized certification scheme (B4T, CSWIP, PCN or equivalent).
  • Having qualification and certificate for NDT level 2 (RT & MPI/DPI) is preferred.
  • Having certification as Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2015 is preferred.
